Lecture: "A Decolonial Ecology: Perspectives from the Caribbean World"
Professor Malcom Ferdinand, CNRS, Université Paris Dauphine
Professor Malcom Ferdinand will present his research on decolonial ecology and chair the undergraduate colloquium “Situated Ecologies: Greening the French Environment,” bringing together the students of “Green France” and “The Idea of France.”
Both an environmental engineer and a philosopher, Malcom Ferdinand engages with postcolonial theory and political ecology, with a focus on the Atlantic and Caribbean. In his research, he investigates the articulations and intersections of political issues, colonial history, and ecological stakes.
