This year, our department aims to grow awards for the French undergraduate program. Your donations will come directly to the French Program and ensure that we can help future students of French – regardless of means – turn their classroom in particular faculty-supervised undergraduate research, creative work, internships, and support for study abroad. This work may include research on sustainability (coming out of courses such as “Green France” and “Thinking the Earth”) or work in French and Francophone Studies (“Global French” and “Feminist Africa”).
A gift from you on PDoG will not only support our department directly but could also help us win additional challenge money from Dean Leibovich. The department with the most unique donors who give at least $5 will win $2,500!
I hope you will join me in supporting FRIT on Pitt Day of Giving. Make your gift on February 25th at https://pittdayofgiving.com/campaigns/french-and-italian-languages-and-literatures. Please don’t hesitate to share this link with your networks (social, family and friends) – help us spread the word!
