Dario Chimenti (he/him) was born and raised in Rome, Italy, and has been studying the deep connection between politics and cinema all his academic life. After a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science discussing a thesis on Fascist Fictional Propaganda Cinema, he eventually covered political films and radical cinema of the late 1960s during his Media and Journalism Master’s degree.
His interests for further research are cinema as propaganda and rhetorical device in the 20th century; auteur films in the 1960s and 1970s; images of the working class and the Italian economic boom; the cinematic representation of immigration and gender; and avant-garde Italian literature.
In his free time, Dario Chimenti works to enhance cultural opportunities among the Italian community.
