Gianluca Bufo

A full-time reader since he can remember, Gianluca Bufo (he/him) decided early on to build a career around what he loves the most: books. He studied Italian Literature and Philology in Chieti, near his hometown, and then he pursued his studies with an MA in Comparative Literature at the University of Turin, where he developed a keen interest in Queer Studies. Focusing on the representations of male homosexual desire in Italian literature of the 20^th century, he is currently exploring the hidden connections between issues of literary genres and questions of gender and sex from a standpoint that owes much to social and cultural studies. In addition to his work as a budding literary critic, Gianluca keeps busy translating both from English and French whatever he can get his hands on, whenever he gets the chance.
