Gianluca Bufo

(he/him)

A full-time reader since he can remember, Gianluca Bufo (he/him) decided early on to build a career around what he loves the most: books. He studied Italian Literature and Philology in Chieti, near his hometown, and then he pursued his studies with an MA in Comparative Literature at the University of Turin, where he developed a keen interest in Queer Studies. Focusing on the representations of male homosexual desire in Italian literature of the 20th century, he is currently exploring the hidden connections between issues of literary genres and questions of gender and sex from a standpoint that owes much to social and cultural studies. In addition to his work as a budding literary critic, Gianluca keeps busy translating both from English and French whatever he can get his hands on, whenever he gets the chance.
