Isin graduated in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Ankara, and she received her MA in TESL from Kent State University. During her undergraduate studies, she attended summer school at UniStraSi in Siena, on a scholarship granted by the Italian government. She also completed a 7-year part-time art workshop to specialize in acrylic painting, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Kortrijk, Belgium. She is interested in foreign language pedagogy.
