Nneka Lilian Idiaye is a PhD student in French. She had her tutelage in French language and literature and proceeded on for a master's in French linguistics and literature. Her interest in academics and research led her to work as a French lecturer and a research assistant on gender inequality. Nneka's research interests include French literature in the 20th century, particularly Jean-Paul Sartre, which centers essentially on the thesis of freedom, choice, and responsibility and their impact on man and society. Nneka is also interested in language contact and sociolinguistics, specifically how dominant languages weaken non-dominant languages.
